One of my favorite songs about being visited….
“Here they come, and they fly with the power of the sun
Here they come, and they’re going to touch everyone
Far, far, have they come
Here they come, and the fire on their wings doesn’t burn
Here they come, and they know everything we must learn
Round, round, we must turn
Watch out, you, sinners
Don’t you know that your time has come?
Watch out, you, winners
Now it’s the same for everyone
Here they come, and the stars in their eyes seem to glow
Here they come, and the fear in our hearts starts to go
Now, now, now we all know

Nin, I hope you don’t mind if I post this in your thread here. These are lyrics to one of my songs, that run in a similar vein to those above. This just seems like an appropriate place to share them. . . . . . .
It’s Just ET
——————
I’d like to introduce you to my friend
He’s short and gray and kind of thin
He’s got no hair – not much of a nose
A tiny little mouth and funny looking toes
His head is huge but his body’s small
With ling skinny arms and just three feet tall
He’s got great big eyes and they’re black as coal
And he comes from way out there you know
——————————————–
CHORUS
It’s just ET and he’s with me
And we don’t do hostility
We’re looking for some peaceful grace
Among the violent human race
Our brothers out among the stars
Who come to us from very far
They’d like to see us all awake
To recognize our big mistakes
——————————————–
Let me introduce you to my friend
She’s tall and blonde and her name is Gwen
She comes from somewhere way out yonder
To help us break this spell we’re under
And it might seem kind of strange to you
And maybe you don’t think it’s true
But we got family way out there
Who travel far to show they care
——————————————–
CHORUS 2
It’s just ET and she’s with me
And we don’t do hostility
We’re looking for some peaceful grace
Among the violent human race
Our sisters out among the stars
Who come to us from very far
They’d like to see us all awake
To recognize our big mistakes

Well, I couldn’t stand it – just had to look it up (the musician in me, ya know). It was on the album “A Space In Time” released in 1971. I didn’t find anything about a previous release date of a single. But as you know, Alvin Lee and Ten Years After predate Woodstock, so the song may have been around before the album. And Nin, I certainly agree with you about Alvin Lee’s vision.
Thank You Kim and Roy.. I can’t remember the exact date of release of this song (I suppose I could look it up first, lol) I think from a philosophical point of view, the author Alvin Lee really shows quite a bit of vision… Namaste _/\_
That is a really uplifting and great poem, Nin. Thank you.
